We know there are many technical reasons why the Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsula regions grow such beautiful grapes. But since it gets complicated and science-y, we will just tell you that our location on the 45th parallel and the breezes from Lake Michigan create the perfect environment for cool-climate wines. And yes, we are in a cool climate. Additionally, we are on the same latitude as one of the world’s premier wine regions, that of Bordeaux and the northern Rhone Valley in France.
