Here you will find a harbor village right along the lake that is home to its famous historic Fishtown district. Leland dates back to the 1800s where you can still find plenty of shanties and docks standing to this day. These historic buildings now house local boutiques, shops, art galleries, and eateries that are all worth checking out. Being a fish village you will want to make sure you try out the local seafood including their famous smoked fish sandwiches. For a little outdoor fun simply hop on the ferry that will take you to North Manitou Island where you can enjoy some remote hiking.

Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes
